Testing Day - Tuesday, 10/27

Glenbard South Sophomores and Juniors are scheduled to take a Practice PreACT/ACT Exam on Tuesday, October 27, 2026. Specific room assignments will be sent directly to student’s Glenbard email addresses. This is a non-attendance day for 9th and 12th grade students.

It is important that your student shows their best work on this practice ACT. This diagnostic assessment through Progress Learning will provide us with feedback that will create a personalized study plan for your student. Students will receive directions in mid-November on how to access the personalized learning program.

Here are a few reminders:

  • Testing will begin at 8:00 am and end at approximately 11:30 am for standard timing testers.
  • Normal bus routes will run before school. If students drive or get a ride, please make sure they are in their testing room by 7:55.
  • Students may bring a water bottle with them, but no other food or drink will be allowed in the testing rooms.

Students should bring the following items, required for testing:

  • A fully-charged iPad.
  • Valid school ID
  • Two No. 2 pencils, with erasers
  • Students should NOT bring the following prohibited items:

    • Mobile phones, smartwatches, fitness trackers, or other wearable technology (simple digital non-smartwatches or analog watches are acceptable). We understand students might bring their phone in order to communicate with parents after the test is complete. They will be required to power it off during testing.
    • Audio players or recorders, tablets, laptops, notebooks, Bluetooth devices (e.g., wireless earbuds/headphones), or any other personal computing devices
    • Unacceptable calculators that have computer-style (QWERTY) keyboards, use paper tape, make noise, or use a power cord.

Bus routes will leave soon after testing ends. An activity bus will depart Glenbard South at 1:00 PM.
