Thank you for your interest in the Little Raiders Preschool Program here at Glenbard South High School! We would be so excited to welcome your child(ren)! The main purpose of our preschool is to provide a unique hands-on learning experience for your child(ren) while providing our high school students with a foundational understanding of children between the ages of 3 to 5 years old. Our goal is to provide meaningful academic, experiential, and social opportunities for your preschooler(s) that will allow your child(ren) to grow in their ability to cooperate with others while adapting to a school atmosphere. Meanwhile, our high school students will be teaching, observing, learning and loving your child(ren). It is a win-win situation!
PRESCHOOL DATES: Preschool will run both semesters in the 2024-2025 school year. Fall session will TENTATIVELY begin on September 23 and run through December 10, 2024. Spring session will TENTATIVELY run from February 18 through May 13, 2025. The preschool will be held in Room 110, a Family and Consumer Science classroom equipped especially for our preschoolers. Preschool will run on most Mondays and Fridays from 10:20 am – 12:30 pm, and on most Tuesdays from 9:30 – 11:50 am. Because our high school has altered class schedules occasionally, a complete calendar will be provided to you with specific dates and any deviations from our normal schedule.
DROP OFF/PICK UP: Please be prompt! Our high school students will meet you at your car outside of Door 1. Our students and myself or our preschool aide will be outside to help get your child(ren) out of your car. There is no need for you to get out of your vehicle. If you arrive late and we are no longer outside of Door 1, please enter through Door 4, sign in, and security can call us to send a student up to bring your child to Room 110. Dismissal is at 12:30 pm on Mondays and Fridays, and 11:50 am on Tuesdays. Please be parked outside Door 1 no later than the dismissal time so we can bring your child(ren) to your car. Since the high school students (and myself) have other classes they are coming from and going to, being on time is essential to our program running smoothly! If anyone other than yourself, or the person whom you have indicated as an emergency contact, is going to pick up your child, please let me know AHEAD OF TIME if possible and preferably in writing.
ATTENDANCE: Please hold attendance as a priority, but keep your child(ren) home if they are sick. You may call my direct line, 630-942-6608, or email me at [email protected] to alert us if your child will not be in school on any given day. Please also email or call this number to alert us if other transportation arrangements have been made.

We accept applications on a first come, first served basis. Once I have your online application form, spoken with you personally and you have confirmed your desire to share your child(ren) with us, I will not give up your spot(s) without contacting you first. That being said, we appreciate promptness with your registration materials. The health certificate and tuition may be brought to the first day of class. Checks may be written to: Glenbard South High School.
Once your completed application is received, we will notify you. Please be patient if you complete your application form over the summer, as my hours are irregular. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected], and I will get back to you.
