Set in the 1920s, Radium Girls offers a compelling look at American history, commercial greed, and individual courage.
Inspired by true events, Radium Girls follows Grace Fryer, a dial painter at the U.S. Radium Corporation, who begins to notice troubling illnesses among her fellow female factory workers. As Grace seeks answers and accountability for the toxic luminous paint used on watch dials, she finds herself facing powerful corporate interests, a sensationalized media, and a rapidly ticking clock. Written with warmth and fierce humor, D.W. Gregory’s powerful drama explores one woman’s determination to stand up for justice.
