Homework Club
Homework Club will be starting. Homework club is a place where ANY student can receive help from teachers to prepare for upcoming assessments or complete their homework and/or projects. Certain teachers will be available via Zoom on Mondays from 6-8pm and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3-5pm. There will be a link posted on Schoology for a calendar that will have a schedule of which teachers are available along with the times and days they will be available, what courses they can help with, their email address, and their Zoom link for you to join them. If you would like to schedule a specific time to meet with any teachers listed on the Homework Club calendar, you may also contact them via Glenbard email
College and Career Exploration Week Glenbard South
is hosting a series of virtual college and career exploration events March 1-10. These events are open to all students grades 9-12. Sign up to hear from various local professionals about their careers in a 30 minute question and answer Zoom session in the afternoon. These virtual events begin on March 2, and the list of professions include: Accountant/Fire Fighter Architect Business Owner of a Computer Consulting and Repair company CEO of Glen Ellyn YMCA Counselor/Therapist Dentist/Travel Agent Govt official, (Glen Ellyn Village Manager) International Sales Director Lawyer Physical Therapist Police Chief of Glen Ellyn PR/Communications Director for District 41 Wastewater Engineer/Administrator for Glenbard Wastewater Authority Look in Schoology for the form to sign up to talk to as many professionals as you’d like. Ms. Lange will facilitate all the events and will send you the Zoom link and a list of possible questions to ask the professionals. Then on March 10, come to our Virtual College Fair, open during all the lunch periods for all grades 9-12. Pick from the top 20 schools our students attend to hear short 15-minute presentations, with time for questions. Don’t miss these great events to learn more about possible careers and college majors. So grab your lunch and your iPad and Plan Your Future!
