Senior Recognition Celebration

Class of 2020 

We are less than one week away from our scheduled Senior In-Person Celebration to honor the Class of 2020. The event is scheduled for July 28 (rain date: July 29) and will be held in the parking lot outside of the Main Entrance (Door #4). If forced to move to July 29 due to inclement weather, we will communicate this news to all families through email and social media before 10 a.m. on July 28.

Here is the link to a diagram on what you can expect when you arrive at the in-person celebration. Please note, all cars must enter from Park Blvd and exit using Butterfield Rd.

Below are the guidelines for the event:

• Every graduate is allowed to have one car drive through the celebration.

• The highlight of the in-person celebration is when graduates of the Class of 2020 will hear their name read as they walk across the stage with their diploma.

• The graduate and one person from the car will be allowed to exit the car at their designated time. The guest will be allowed to take photos while the graduate walks across the stage, poses for a professional picture in front of the GS backdrop, and then sign the senior class banner.  All other guests must remain in the car. We have designed a traffic flow that will allow everyone in the car to follow the graduate as they cross the stage. 

• Graduates are encouraged to wear their cap and gown and bring their diploma cover.

• Both the graduate and the person accompanying the graduate outside of the car must wear a face mask. The graduate may remove the mask when crossing the stage and when posing for a photo. The guest should leave the mask on at all times.

• Lifetouch, the photography company, will be onsite to take pictures of graduates on stage and in front of a backdrop.  Photos will be free of charge.

• While it is not an expectation, you may decorate your car to celebrate your graduate.

• Graduates should arrive at their assigned time only. We have carefully orchestrated the event so that all graduates safely move through the event in a timely manner while adhering to the guidelines for social distancing.

L-R 6:00pm – 6:30pm 

S-Z 6:30pm – 7:00pm
