A Message From Our Principal
Dear Students, Parents and Community Members,
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the Glenbard South website. Here you will find an abundance of information about our school community. This year's graduating class will be the 40th class to graduate from South. Our students continue to excel in academics, athletics, music, drama and activities. Their commitment to serving the community is inspiring.
We’ve worked with students and staff to define what Raider Pride means. Our mantra from last year continues this year. Raiders commit to being persons who demonstrate respect, responsibility and readiness. We are so fortunate to work with young people who care about others and are willing to go the extra mile in service to the local, national and international community. Our parents offer their time, talent and treasure in support of Glenbard South.
The Class of 2011 posted the highest ACT Composite score in the history of the school. Our sports teams won 13 of 16 conference championships in the 2010-2011 school year. Boys' Track and Girls' Softball took 3rd place in the State last year. Our Orchestra was once again invited to participate in the prestigious Allerton Chamber Festival. The tradition of excellence that was started in 1972 is alive and well in 2011!
